100 Push-ups? Are you crazy? I can never do that!! That's what I used to say until I decided to take the up the workout challenge outlined by Steve over at One Hundred Push-ups

If you'd like to read my blog about it, here it is: A Push-up Challenge.
Are you up to the challenge?

If so, feel free to sign up, and please feel welcome to join me in discussing your progress here.

If not, have fun watching me (and anyone else who'd like to update their progress here) as I keep track of my progress.

Keep up the good work, Mara. It takes time to "build up" as the body
metamorphasizes over time into one that is different.

It sounds corny but it's true. I just read an interview with Tiger
Woods, considered possibly one of the greatest atheletes of all
time, and he essentially confirmed this.
I have no doubt, You WILL.....................:)
Well, today was my Day 3 of Week 1, and I have to say, I'm feeling pretty good. This morning, I did a total of 41 push-ups, 10,8, 8, 5, 10, and it wasn't as difficult at I thought it'd be. In fact, my form was pretty good.

On Monday, I start Week 2, and I'm excited.......................:)
That's awesome--keep up the great work!
Thanks. Did you get your numbers yet?
Wow. I just finished Day 3 of week 1, and I'm feeling it! I competed 15/13/10/10/16, and the last 3 of the last set were tough!!! I'm definitely taking a couple days off and starting week 2 on Wednesday.
Ok, Day 1 of Week 2 wasn't as difficult as I thought it would be. I struggled with the final set, but otherwise, it was great.

On the flip side, I have a feeling I'll be fellin' it tomorrow.......................:)

But, that's a good thing.
OMG, I've beaten my old push-up record, which was 11. Tonight in the final round of my Week 2 Day 2, I was able to do 16 good form push-ups. I'm excited...............:)

Maybe I will make it to Week 3 without having to repeat Week 2. I'll let you know when I do this week's Day 3.
I too have exceeded my previous push up record! While I am happy to be progressing, I am also stressing about week 3. It looks like a huge jump to me!
Me, too. I hadn't looked at it until today, but I'm not sure I'll be able to keep up.
Okay, I'm not doing the full program or plan, BUT this inspired me to add them to my circuit training last night. I made sure to do them correctly (I tend to cheat if I'm not doing modified ones) and I could only eek out about 15 -- and I was wiped.

Thanks for re-introducing me to a fantastic exercise that requires no other equipment!
Well, Week 2, Day 3 is over, and I finished the whole routine, but felt a little tired. Tomorrow night, I'll do the exhaustion test to see if I move on or repeat Week 2.

How about you? How is everyone doing?
