Would you take an exercise pill? Why or why not?

DR wrote an excellent post, Health and Fitness in a Bottle: Big Pharma Discovers their Holy Grail, where he explains how drug companies are developing new medications that may be marketed as a substitute for exercising.

Let's discuss...............

I consider sexual intercourse as a type of exercise. I would boycott the exercise pill for just that reason. I have to question people who pop pills like there is no tomorrow, would you wake up all buffed up in the morning?
I personally wouldn't take this drug. I try to limit any type of medication I take. If I have a head ache I try and cope until it goes.

This medication if it's safe for insanely obese people that need to lose weigh quickly then I think it will be great for them if it can save their lives, then when they are healthier they can stop and follow a natural weight loss program. But it should not be an answer to weight loss.

The life lesson that we get from overcoming something through our own will and determination is priceless, lets not let science take that from us.
I would not. First, I love to work out. I work with kids, and the days can be stressful. I need the stress release that exercise gives me. Plus after years of working in a gym while in college, I found that people who didn't make exercise a vital part of their life didn't stick with it. Yes, the pill is a great substitute, but the real thing seems like too good of a deal to pass up!
Nope, I actually LIKE exercise. While it might help you burn the calories there is some glorious feeling of accomplishment when I finish exercising that just can't be beat.
There are so many wonderful benefits from exercise that you would not get from a pill, especially how good you feel after you have worked really hard. Plus, food tastes much better after exercising!
If it does everything they say it does, with minimal side effects...HECK YEAH! :P
I didnt get this fat by being the most active person. And while it IS a great feeling of accomplishment at the end of the exercise, there are other great feelings that one gets from other activities, so I'd be willing to sacrifice that one especially if there are no sore muscles after to remind me what a good job I did at the gym the day before. :)
Pray for me ppl, its a long LONG road ahead for this one....
I would strongly hope for this to be network marketed and become one of the 1st distributors! YA! Any one want to sign up? for more info go to: nomoregyms.com or to sign up go to: pharmaceuticalylazy.com
