Even though the price of gas has been decreasing, have you changed your driving habits?

Are you walking more, or riding your bike? How about taking public transportation?

Personally, I don’t think the world’s “oil crisis” is over.

High prices will probably return. With the recent changes in energy costs, I’ve felt better-- both for the planet and for myself--by taking the bus and walking more.

How about you?

Lisa,

I don't think this was a consensus decision to reduce driving, but I don't think we're going out more on nights and weekend like we used to. This of course could be the change in seasons where darkness comes my earlier than in the summer. Now walking has also slowed and I think I need to start a more involved routine during lunchtime at work.

I live in an area of Michigan with almost 0 public transportation. Even though the gas prices have come down it is still costly to fill up our vehicles. Luckily for my wife and I we work in the same building so we car pool when ever we can. Also I live only 4 miles away from work so its not to bad. I would however love if my area implemented an adequate public transportation system. I would use it frequently.

Yes. Over the last few years, I've been cutting back on my driving, and now I only drive when necessary. The fuel increases haven't made much of a difference in my attitude or behavior about how I feel about driving. I just don't like it that much anymore.

Well i hate buses and think it is a way to spread communicable diseases. Gas well i have to pay I am a contractor and need my vehicle , it is hard to carry tools on a bike. I just think we should produce more eco-freindly vehicles and make a mandatory conversion by 2025. We seem to be heading towards socialism anyway so they can mandate tis as well.
