Is it possible to get past the nasty taste of Greek yogurt?

I hear Greek yogurt is the best, but how do you get past the nasty taste and actually begin to enjoy it? Or do I just have an unrefined palate? :)

I don't like gooey foods--yogurt, jello, ice cream, whip cream, sour cream and I don't like sweets. Not out of any moral or health reasons, I just don't like them.

As far as your question--it does strike me a bit odd to have to suffer through something in order to enjoy it...)
I use Greek yogurt to make cucumber dip "Tzatziki" (Greek Yogurt and Cucumber Sauce), for example, and liked it.

It depends on the person. I am sure my taste is different from other people. I usually don't use salt or sugar -or reserve this for some treats-. I got used to this and really enjoy it. But I understand people have different taste.

If you don't like it... just don't use it.
Yes, do you like berries? I mix in 1/4 cup of berries with a 1/2 cup of greek yogurt and a packet of splenda very tasty.
Yes. I like chobani brand. Simply add fresh berries, a little agave nectar or tupelo honey, and a touch of a good granola. Greek yogurt FAR exceeds others. It has way less calories, a lot less carbs, and three times the protein! It is definitely worth it to make yourself like it. You will get used to the taste...with the berries, etc.
Keep trying!
Yes it is some add fruit and/or splenda
Nasty taste? Wow..have you tried Fage? I try to avoid ALL dairy, but every now and then allow myself a dollop of Greek Fage yogurt. I love it. It tastes like rich creamy sour cream.
I totally agree with you Barbara! Fage is delicious! I use it for curries, dressings, or by itself. Greek yogurt is much better than regular :)
