Yum Yucky

Under Construction!

If you’re seeing the blog right now, it’s really messy like a greedy woman at a buffet. The re-design requires major clean up, like dead links ‘n stuff, so the fixes are in progress right now. I’ll be scrubbing the blog clean & fresh all week. Stay tuned for new posts! ~Josie [photo credit]

This is What 185 Pounds Felt Like

Josie back in 2006 I know some people strive for the 185-pound mark, and I give major kudos to the people who blasted the fat down to the 185 range with starting numbers in the high 200’s and into the 300’s. But me? I started my weight loss journey at 185 pounds. And it was my weight [...]

The Crumb Snatcher Report, episode 2

I’m keeping The Crumb Snatcher as a regular feature. Now you can stay up to date on all the stupid stuff going on in my life. Funk Fumes & Dog Shit I usually don’t use real curse words ’round here, but “shitty” is the only true way to describe it.  Health-hater Husband and Greedy Kid #2 [...]

What are you doing?

I totally agree with you Barbara! Fage is delicious! I use it for curries, dressings, or by itself. Greek yogurt is much better than regular :)

Nasty taste? Wow..have you tried Fage? I try to avoid ALL dairy, but every now and then allow myself a dollop of Greek Fage yogurt. I love it. It tastes like rich creamy sour cream.

You are right about this, their is way too much emphasis put on eating meat. I try to get as much fiber as I can in my system.

Americans eat too much protein. There are natural sources to get it. If you eat enough fiber you won't need any colon cleanse... there is no need to ingest any chemicals though. I understand that this diet is not for everyone.

Your first time...

No, it's not what you think.

I'm talking about your first time doing something you never believed could be accomplished - stepping out of the "I wish" or "maybe one day" phase and actually living what you dream about.

I did my first hike ever last weekend and will do my first half marathon next month. I also started my first blog, Yum Yucky, and I'm on my way to my first certification as a personal trainer.

But wait. Isn't this the kind of stuff I'm supp… Continue

SPlenda and Equal and artificial sweeteners are a big NO in my world. I know two holistic nutritional biochemists and both tell me "no way." Raw honey and agave seem to be okay to use in moderation.
