More Running

You guessed it- running, which is amazing, has become an active part of my weekly routine. The goals here are many:

- Run a marathon this year (before my 26th Birthday (Aug 21).

- Continue a natural progression in my running ( at 5 miles per run 3x a week).

- Strengthen and enhance my overall fitness.

There's a short preview for now. Lastly, today I ran, according to iTunes Nike Sports Kit- 5.38 (something like that) miles. The most I've done about six years. I… Continue

Running For Coffee Kids

Running for coffee kids has captured my focus. This cause is dumping fuel into the tank! Allow me to explain. DoubleShot Coffee Company in Tulsa, OK.

By the way, I enjoy a cup coffee from Doubleshot daily when I get to blogging, writing, reading and so on.

Here’s the deal, for every mile ran by Brain (owner of DoubleShot) at the Leadville 100 on August 16 can be another dollar that helps coffee farming families. According… Continue

My 3 1/2 Mile Run

Hey everyone

I went out for another run Friday evening with my girlfriend's brother. He has improved throughout the past two weeks. I'm rediscovering how mediative running can become because of the focus placed on breathing; at least, for me, I love to concentrate, focus and clear my mind.

Last summer, when I was running about 4 to 5 times per week, running became addictive because it left me with a sort of natural high. I… Continue

Hello everyone! I went out for a run today with my girlfriend's brother. The weather in Tulsa is amazing these days. He struggled but pushed himself through it. Running really helps him to clear his mind, burn out pined up energy and to establish balance. What about you? What are your reasons for running? I would love to put together a list of reasons based on your feedback. Thanks!

I'm not a runner, but a walker, but have similar results as your friend. It clears the mind, gives me time to think about new ideas, and just reflect on the day. Most of my blogs ideas come from a good walk.

BTW, I just happened to pop into your page today, and saw your comment. Next time, why don't you try the blog feature, and I'm sure more people will see your questions and ideas, and respond.

If you have any questions, feel free to ask..............:)

I went out for another run Sunday evening with Robin (my girlfriend) and her brother. I realized once again my level of endurance.

I'm telling you all, strengthening your core is a must. For the past three months I've been consistently working out my abs.

I feel a significant difference in my overall performance, as far as running, sprinting, outdoor activities, etc.

Try it! You WILL experience the difference!

What about you? What healthy disciplines have you maintained? What goals, having accomplished, help you with day to day activities?

Hey Miguel! Thanks for adding me.

So, you're a student in theology? My husband and I are living in Australia at present, helping out in a couple of churches. Hope your studies are going well.
