I've been an RD for 30 years. For the last 20 years, I’ve worked with the media as a Food Journalist, RD, Nutritionist and Researcher. During this time I have watched the Internet’s birth and its explosion into every area of the globe. Wellness News and Dietitians On-line were created due to the many fraudulent companies selling questionable products or providing potentially dangerous information on-line. I wanted to provide my editors with reliable resources on-line, the Registered Dietitian.
What is your current exercise routine?
Daily. I lift my son in and out of his wheelchair at least 3 times a day. I consider this my weight lift training. Jake is 21 years old, weighs 175 pounds and is a quadriplegia.
5 time/week. Swim
What diets have you tried?
Everyone, except those involving yuky liquids or pills
What things do you want to do before you die?
I want to see a law passed that would allow people in motorized wheelchairs to get on to an airplane.
