Profile Information

Hometown:
Alabama
Relationship Status
Married
About Me:
I am a mother of 3 children ages 15 yrs , 5 yrs (soon to be 6),and 3 yrs old. I have been with my husband for 16 years. I am a pretty shy person but am starting to break out of my shell somewhat with the help of some meds. I take them for depression and anxiety. I also have high blood pressure and take meds for that as well.
I am not as active as I used to be and I would like to change that. I just haven't had much energy in the past year to do much more than keep up with kids and clean house which is very exhausting to me.
My hobbies consist of crocheting , cross stitch , needlpoint , latch hook , art (pointilism) , blogging , and sudoku puzzles. I know , I know , I need some hobbies that don't involve sitting down, lol. I am hoping I can change that this year. Although I will never give up crocheting because that is my passion , I hope that I can become passionate about exercising and becoming fit and healthy once again :)
What are your goals?
I'll just list them
1) lose the 40 pounds I gained in the past year and a half.
2) firm and tone my body
3) lose inches off of my tummy ,thighs ,and arms
4) be happy with the way I look
5) gain energy
6) eat healthier
I think that about covers it. If I think of anymore ,I will add them.
Favorite Music:
Oh , I listen to just about everything ,except hard rock , heavy metal , and opera. Those three really hurt my ears and give me sever headaches.
I mostly listen to pop , hip hop , some alternative , country ,and a little bit of classical.
Favorite TV Shows:
I am a reality nut. I watch American Idol , Big Brother ,Ghost Hunters, Real World ,and Survivor. I also watch paranormal shows like Medium and Ghost Whisperer.
What is your current exercise routine?
Ummm ,well , I really don't have one yet unless you count chasing the kids , cleaning house , and folding laundry as exercise lol. I do have a treadmill in my home , I am just gonna have to start making time to get on it.
What diets have you tried?
My husband and I were both on the South Beach Diet a few years ago and were doing very well. We were looking great! BUt then we started missing the foods we loved which was our downfall. ESpecially during holidays. I have a weakness for pasta and my hubby has a weakness for sweets.
What things do you want to do before you die?
1) I would love to go sailing and visit lighthouses but this is something that my husband would never do. He doesn't mind fishing on lakes but he can't be on open water like an ocean and not be able to see land.
2) I would love to find a good paying job that I actually enjoy and love.
3) I would like to visit Hawaii and Alaska
What is your favorite book?
I don't have a favorite book but my favorite author is Danielle Steel.

Hi everyone...

Sorry I've been MIA for a bit. I was sick for a few days and then I fell into one of my depressive episodes again. I'm better now though! I did stay on track with my squats ,however I haven't been doing the lunges. They put way too much pressure on my right heel. I injured it a few months ago. There is a step down into my living room and one day I missed the step and my ankle went sideways. I had to keep my ankle wrapped up for about a week… Continue

Day 5.........is done!!!!

Yep , you read that right. i decided to try something different. I'm usually tired in the afternoon , so i decided to go ahead and get my exercise out of the way this morning while the little ones were still sleeping. I jumped on the treadmill for 30 minutes and walked 1.5miles. Once done with that , my legs were all warmed up , so I went ahead and did 20 squats and 20 lunges. This time with the lunges ,I put my foot on the treadmill to do them ,to lessen the strain on my thighs ;)…

Day 2.......My thighs are on fire

So , I didn't have a lot of sleep last night and it's a long story ,but anyway , my thighs have been hurting so bad today. I decided to go get my haircut and hubby agreed to watch the kids for me. Bless his heart. First , I went to Walmart and found me some yoga pants ON SALE for $7 each. Picked me out two pair. Whoo hoo! One is grey with a white stripe down each side(I'm wearing them now and they are so comfortable) and the…

Loose or tight?

I have a question.......Are loose fitting or tight fitting clothes best? or is it all about comfort?

I just wear my everyday clothes right now , but I have been thinking about pulling out some of my cute little pajama shorts with matching tank tops (if they fit). They are very comfortable to wear. I am also thinking about getting some yoga pants to go with the tank tops I already have.

What do y'all…

Day 1 ....The Challenge Begins

Well , day 1 is under wraps. I went into town today and did some running around with errands. I thought I'd never get my exercise in today but I made a point to get it done. As soon as I got home and put up all the groceries , I went ahead and did my 20 lunges and 20 squats ,whoo hooo! Then I jumped on my treadmill and…

My Motivation......

I bought this shirt a couple of years ago. When I bought it , I thought(mentally) it would fit me since it was in my size. Well , I brought it home , tried it on ,and I couldn't get my arms through the sleeves. I was never able to wear it. So now this shirt has become "my motivation" to lose the weight.

Here I am 2 years ago. It was August of 2005…

Wow, your profile looks great. I used to knit, but my daughter crochets, and she spins her own yarn.

Congratulations on the 6lbs you've already lost. You're on your way to your goal weight............:)

The upcoming challenge will help with the toning and firming. I'm looking forward to it.

You're very welcome. We have tried to make this community very welcoming, so jump right in............:)

I've discovered that putting a profile page, a website, or just redecorating is an ongoing process. I'm continently looking for new things that will be an improvement.

You've added great color here. I love the pink with the blue, and the touch of green is great.

I looked for your blog, but I think it's still in the draft stage.
