I am a full time psychology student, empty nest mom, volunteer, and wife of a guy who cooks better than I do. I’m also recovering from a stubborn broken ankle – a souvenir from my trip to Costa Rica last year. When I have any free time, I spend much of it learning about nutrition, fitness, natural remedies, and pretty much anything to do with health. If I’m not reading at least 5 books I get fidgety. I have spent lots of money on the latest "best thing" to take to improve my health but usually find something newer or "better" before we finish what we have. That means I have a big basket full of half empty bottles and nothing to show for it. But really, all I want is something that helps us stay healthy when we don't eat all the right things, and I am tired of wasting money. Basically what it boils down to is, I have enough information to know what to do, but don't always do it. And definitely not enough formal education to convince anyone else. So I'd rather not have to convince... just make good nutrition options available to folks and let them decide for themselves.
Hiya Sue,
Your line about being the wife of a guy who cooks better than you was pretty funny. I bet my wife feels the same, though with my hours she's got dinner duty these days. I have a site dedicated to easy to do, healthy recipes in case you want to surprise your husband. Let me know if you need more ideas as I'd be happy to help.
