About Me:
Hi! I'm John Pilato, business owner/entrepreneur, health and fitness trainer, and wellness educator. My passion for educating on all things health and wellness related led to me developing Thrive Healthy Living - a place to help others with goals for improving their lifestyle learn about nutrition, exercise, beauty, and preparing great healthy food options. With a background in professional sport, and as a personal trainer, I enjoy everything active and love helping others achieve their goals!

Prior to starting Thrive Healthy Living I spent over 10 years as a business development manager, corporate trainer, and consultant.

What are your goals?
Owner and Founder of Team JP a business in the health and wellness sphere, I have a goal to help others to achieve their health and wellness goals, and to help those who are passionate about health and wellness and interested from a business perspective develop a successful home based business of their own.

What is your current exercise routine?
It varies but 6 days a week I am doing some sort of training! Right now I alternate days swimming 1.5km, running 10-14km, and weight training...nothing over the top - just enjoy keeping fit and in great shape!
What diets have you tried?
Don't believe in diets. Dieting promotes yo-yo behavior as it either has a short range goal to begin with, or is not sustainable because it does not change the underlying cause of the problem - lifestyle. The key to lifelong great shape and health is in educating about lifestyle and diet changes, to help people understand that the food they eat is for "fueling their body" and not just "filling their tummy" and to get them to understand how to balance their food intake properly without missing out!
