I meant to share a recipe earlier in the winter, and here we are with the exuberance of spring unfolding, the days getting longer and the joys of fresh produce coming back to the gardens and markets. If good health is one of you goals to a long and happy life, maybe not! It has been two months since New Year’s; are you keeping your resolution? Studies show people surveyed only keep their resolutions anywhere from 6-46% of the time depending on the study. I was at a cousin's bridal shower where the subject came up. Some girls never even heard about the scientific connection of green tea with losing weight.

So I embark on a journey to spread the great word that you can get rid of that jelly belly by sipping on green tea…

Dr. Oz found my weight loss story on line. I was asked to come to NY and tape a show where I am a mentor to 3 former beauty pageant queens who have had weight loss struggles for years. I am so blessed that he found my story. I love being a mentor to these 3 wonderful women. I will be back on the show a few more times. On the last visit one of the 3 ladies will win the title of the next Miss. Dr. OZ.

Conquering obesity improves lives

From the Courier-Journal.com:

Do it

It takes a lot of motivation to get started in an exercise plan. Once I had some health insurance quotes that suggested a fitness regimen would lower the rates of coverage. It was a big motivator to save money if I checked into a gym program. Saving money turned out not to be the biggest benefit. The biggest benefit is how much better I felt a few months into the program. It does take some dedication to begin… Continue

But many parents don’t pay much attention to obesity prevention advice; they don’t believe it’s relevant to their kids. They’re more focused on making sure their kids develop well, and…
