It used to bother me but now I find it amusing. I've been called every 'fat' name under the sun growing up.
For instance:

Bertha Butt Boogie
Good Year Hindenberg
Carol Fatalino (a variation of my last name)
and the standard "Fatso" and "Fatty".

And if that wasn't bad enough, I've also got really frizzy, course hair (when I let it grow out) and buck teeth! (and yes this is me before I chopped it)

And so the names continued:

Bugs Bunny (or just Bugs)
Buck Tooth Beaver
Mop Head
Horsehead
Repunzel let down your hair of ROPE.
Brillo Pad
Witchypooh &
Madusa

But mainly it was the 'fat' names because that was the most obvious. Kids can be so cruel huh?

It doesn't bother me to talk about this because I know there's much more to me, and you, than an exterior. What good is being thin and beautiful if you're dumber than a box of hair? Or if you have the personality of drywall? Or if you're meaner than the Taliban?

Unfortunately not all kids grow out of insulting others as they grow older. (notice I didn't say "grow up") There will always be those who will rip on your weight thus showing how unimaginative they are since they always go for the obvious. Don't let them bother you. We are all complex beings which consist of much more than the physical. We're ALL going to get ugly some day and so what's left? The only thing that REALLY matters - who you are on the INSIDE.

God bless,
Carol

Hi Carol, I agree, kids can be downright simply nastier than all heck. What's the saying? Pretty is as pretty does? I think that most people have gotten way past judging a book by its cover; and it's about trying to keep healhty and do everything for ourselves. friends, and family for the same purpose.
