When you’re walking, your whole body is moving.
You’re pumping your arms, moving your legs, and swinging your hips. Your butt is constantly moving as you walk.
Is your ass getting a workout? You bet! As well as your lungs, your legs, your thighs, etc.
I walk very similarly to race walkers. One time, while I was walking, a man sitting on his lawn, asked me if I previously race walked. I just smiled and said, “No, but I do like their style.”
What is race walking?
This video provides both humor and great information about it:
For me, race walking is not only an exercise, but a way of thinking. I reflect while I walk. I get ideas while walking. But, most importantly, I find solace in my walking.
I’ve always walked, but I’ve decided to now race walk 6 times a week for longer durations, intensity, and frequency, and I thoroughly enjoy every minute of it.
How about you? Do you want to Race Walk?
