Iowa Avenue

Los Angeles mixes many of our land uses with business, commercial, and residential developments. Even though these buildings appear to be far way, they are really within a spry walking distance.

As I walked by, the doors to the fire station were open, and I saw these two pair of boots. Immediately, I wondered how many fires had these boots seen? Had its wearers ever been in danger? How many lives did its wearers save?

This is a picture of a palm tree’s reflection in a mirrored windowed building. I love the effect.

By the way, I stopped by the shop that had the chair I featured two weeks ago. After I told the owner that I posted it on the Internet, and everybody loved the photo, she said, “How cool is that!!”

Thanks everyone, because

After all, it’s about a healthy lifestyle!

Lisa, thanks for the photos. I love the effect of the palm tree on the window!

Diana, you are right! I lived in Florida before full of palm trees and now in California where there are everywhere as well.

I will post some pictures from my walking today. It is still foggy so I will wait until the sun comes up.

See you soon...

When the fog was gone, I had to wait for my cooking to finish. Wednesdays is when I cook my whole wheat bread. It was almost Noon.

I didn't go far but walked almost an hour anyway. I couldn't find any good palm tree this time...

This is my street. Going right (south) is the commercial zone. Going left (north) is the residential one.

This sign means "duck crossing" which I love it! Ducks live in our complex, the one across the street, and the one around the corner. They all have ponds where they enjoy water. The only problem is when they cross the street... some get killed because of disrespectful drivers don't pay attention to this sign or the "25 limit" either.

Walking around the commercial part of the city, there is Stevens Creek Blvd. where all the car dealers are... they all have big ads to attract customers. So a dealer had a Monster Sale!

And coming back to the residential part, there the closest approach to Buckingham Palace... Buckingham Place!
