Wordless Wednesday Walkers - Malibu Creek State Park

Today’s Wordless Wednesday features photos from my Virtual 5K at Malibu Creek State Park.

I can’t say how much I enjoyed my time there. Obviously, spending hours in front of a computer terminal or desk doesn’t leave much time to behold and enjoy nature’s wonders.

I’m quite fortunate to live close to the beach, so “getting away from it all” even for a few hours is very rejuvenating.

I definitely plan on doing this as often as I can.

Just beautiful!!

As soon as I entered the park, it was clear that there had recently been a recent fire. You're viewing the picture exactly as my camera’s pixel’s captured it.

Actually, I’m a little off the trail here (which is actually on the bridge), but I really love this shot, as the texture of light, colors, and lines combine to elevate the sense of nature as art.

Do you have any pictures that you want to share?

I love to walk and take pictures with my camera, because

After all, it’s about a healthy lifestyle!

Great photos Lisa! The park looks relaxing... it is nice to appreciate what nature gave us!

It is so sad what happened in California this year with all those fires. I couldn't believe we had more than one thousand statewide. Here we got all the smoke from north and south of the Bay. It wasn't healthy. I'm glad it is gone now.

Talking about nature... A "tree care company" was at the complex where I live to cut some branches from trees. They look so skinny now. It will take years to get them the way they used to be. I don't see any point about it. Trees protect us from the sun besides another environmental functions....

See across the street how tiny one of the trees is.

Oh, well... I can't complain to the management because they will say the order is coming from above :(

Anyway, I went out and walked not too much today but just enough to keep my blood moving.

I passed the Pruneridge Golf Club closed to home.

... walked through Saratoga Ave. with beautiful flowers in the median and gorgeous big trees along the sidewalk.

... and I feel much better now! :=)
