Today I may have went a little bit over board and I didn't even mean to do it. Because I go to work and then school all day I pack all my meals in the morning. Today I made a foot long wheat sub with turkey, 2% cheese, light mayo and mustard. I cut it in half and had one at 11 and the other half at 4:30. Combine that with the oatmeal I had with my eggs this morning and I'm feeling really fat right now. Clearly I had way to many carbs today and my body is telling me to cut it out. Todays lesson I learned is even healthy things you can over do even if it is by accident!

Your last sentence tells it all, Joe! How true it is that even too much of GOOD stuff can be a negative if weight loss or maintenance is our goal. I often remind my personal training clients that there was a time when Oprah Winfrey was very heavy and she had a personal chef who made very healthy meals! Quantity counts--darn it!

I know you're feeling a bit miserable right now, but let's look at the bright side: your food choices were really good. Could have been worse----you could have had a few double bacon cheeseburgers, right? :-)
So, don't beat yourself up too much. There's always tomorrow. How about lots of veggies and lean protein tomorrow?

I know that feeling. When I overeat, I feel blouted, my stomach seems to grow by leaps and bounds, and I get tired.

The best part of your story is that you know what you did wrong and are taking actions to correct it. Another plus is that even though you overate, you did it with healthy food.

I totally agree with Becky on the lots of veggies and lean protein....................:)
