
Too often, during the holiday season, we are so busy shopping, cooking, visiting family members, house cleaning, our children, and a myriad of other activities--we forget to do take the time to relax and do something, anything, for ourselves.
We tend to neglect ourselves.
One stress reducing strategy recommended by the Mayo Clinic is to take some time to relax, even if it’s just for a short time—more is always good!
Following their advice, I’m giving myself the gift of doing something for myself every day.
Over the last few days, I’ve accomplished:
1. Relaxed with an hour of reading, more than once
2. Bought myself a Birthday/Christmas present (I’ve been saving for it, so now was the time to spend a little on me.)
3. Worked out 3 times
4. Got a manicure
It doesn’t seem like much, but it’s more than I used to do.
