I hope all members enjoyed their holidays!

My holidays were safe and healthy as usual. I spent good time with family on Christmas Eve. My daughter brought a veggie loaf from the market. The veggie loaf tasted much better than Tofurky. It doesn't have too much salt added and the taste was mild.

I cooked mashed potatoes with gravy, chard with olive oil, garlic, and olives. Our dinner was simple but nutritious. Here is how it looked:

For New Year's I baked garlic, onions, peppers, and potatoes adding some small meatless meatballs from Trader Joe's market.

And we all had some traditional sweets from Spain called "turrones" and some flavored cakes.

I also did my first try making a small whole wheat panettone:

And of course, I had a glass of French champagne my son brought home (OOPS I forgot to take a picture)... :)

What a wonderful meal you made, it looks so good I can almost taste and smell the aroma. Glad to hear hear that you enjoyed and a good Holiday season with your family.

Mine was quiet but good.
