Iowa Avenue

After working out three days in a row with weights my body feels like a train wreck so I decided to take the night off from the gym. I should feel a little bad about it but I'm reasoning with myself that if I take the night off I will come back tommorow stronger and fresh. I did a leg workout on tuesday and I must have did it right because they are still sore today. So tonight my plan is simple. I'm going to eat a really healthy protein heavy meal (chicken breast, brown rice, and squash), go to bed early, and get ready to hit the gym hard again tommorow. Sometimes I find that my ambition is slightly ahead of what my body is capable of

I'm glad that you've brought this issue up. You'd be surprised at the amount of injury and strain that's caused by overuse and abuse of the body when exercising. Sometimes, doing nothing or resting, is the best course to come back to your routine fresh, rested, and safe. I know from first hand experience.
