I was reading my Facebook the other day, and one of my friends mentioned he was going to workout at home and I thought what a great topic.

If you go to the gym regularly it is good to workout sometimes at home. Finding things you can do at home will help keep you on track on those days when you don’t have the time or don’t feel like going to the gym. Also doing workouts at home will help change up the workout at the gym, which is a good thing for muscles. It helps them work harder when you change up the routine.

In my at home gym I have DVD’s on all type of cardio workouts, yogi tapes, books on working out, along with boxing gloves, with a weighted punching dummy, free weights, curl bar, rubber tubing, weighted hula hoop, jump rope, gazelle, resista ball, yoga mats, just a bunch of fitness stuff. So I really never have an excuse for not working out.

But if you don’t have store bought items you can still get a good workout at home. You can do lunges for your glutes, hamstrings, and quads, dips from a stationary chair for triceps, weighted cans for bicep curls, and plain old sit ups for the torso. Now you can also add on the pushup and it will help develop your bi’s and tri’s along with chest and back. So if you did about three or four sets minimum with minimal resting in between sets and reps you would have a pretty good at home workout in less than thirty.

Try it and let me know.

Good suggestions Marti! It leaves very little room for excuses! ;)
