Fun With Fiber

Fiber rules!
I was taking inventory of my growing videography recently, when I came to the realization that I have a bunch of fiber videos. Considering that I advocate consuming massive quantities of fiber daily, as well as constantly being heard extolling its virtue, I was not that surprised. What was surprising, was that I have waited until now, months after joining this fantastic network of Healthy Bloggers, to write my first blog post on this site. Naturally, I chose fiber as my initial topic. More to the point: One Huge Plug for my Fiber Videos (that can be found, by the way, at my video site, livelife365.com ).

I eat tons of fiber every day--you should too. I recently lost over 40 pounds implementing a high-fiber diet, and have been able to keep the weight off almost two years later. Why? Because fiber makes you feel fuller. Fiber digests slowly, thus remaining inside your digestive system longer, which gives you the feeling of being satiated--which reduces hunger pangs. But what I really love about fiber is: what goes in, comes out. In other words, compared to other foods, especially meats and fatty foods, almost all of the fiber you consume comes out in the...end--if you get my drift. This is a major contributor, at least in my opinion, to weight loss. You still need to burn more calories than you ingest--that is a truism that will never change--but by choosing high-fiber foods you will greatly improve your odds.

So, what foods are loaded with this magical stuff? Well, my fingers are getting tired, and I did say that this was a post to promote my videos, so, why don't I do just that. Here are a few, out of hundreds, of videos that you can find at my site, livelife365.com. Please enjoy, and don't hesitate to make comments--I value your feedback.

peace,

Mike

Great post. Yes, I was wondering when you were going to post. And I must say, it was well worth the wait. Keep up the great work.

You've really done some great work--both for yourself and with the videos.

Mike, your videos are Hilarious. Informative of course, but you've got some really natural comedic timing and great screen presence. I love your contemplative pauses when you're deciding if something is delicious. Great stuff.

(Sorry for the focus on your "watchability" -- I guess this is what I get for living in the vicinity of Hollywood for 6 years. "Forget the content - this guy has "it" factor oozing from his pores! Kali - Who's his f$%@ing agent? Can we get him for the *#$@ing pilot???" :) )

Great stuff, Mike.

I love the term "fiberlious." Do you have the patent on this term or can I use it? :)

I'm also a big fan of fiber. In my quest to eat a salad a day, fiber is one of the great after affects, which, based on your final video in this series, you've also discovered....................LOL
