Please read - you will be glad you did !!!!

Tonight shortly before I was to leave work one of our drivers broke down. It was a simple fix but the driver would be held up for hours waiting on a service truck so I offered to go to a truck stop, get what he needed and take it to him. Sounds easy doesn't it? It should have been but I still don't know my way around Ft Wayne very well. I found the truck stop easily enough. I told the guy at the counter exactly what I needed and he pointed it out and before you knew it I was on my way to the dri… Continue

Iowa Avenue - the place where my friends are

I so appreciate the comments to my last blog. I am so grateful for the friends I have made in this community. I do wish all of you lived near me. But since you don't, I will continue to enjoy our friendships here. I do realize that I am making progress in my journey. I truly do believe that life will get better and I won't always feel this way. It is very beneficial for me to write honestly here - to share who I am. I go through periods in which I don't want to blog - that I just want to fold my… Continue

Who I Am - continued

The psychiatrist told me that I was one of the worst cases he had seen. I got out of the hospital and started outpatient treatment. I was in a group and for the 1st and only time in my life my shell began to crack. But, my insurance said I had reached my limit and so treatment last only a few more weeks. My point is that I have lived for my children. I am not alive because of my will to live - but for my children. I have spent my life living for them. Now alone I am trying to figure out how to l… Continue

Who I Am

After reading Eve's blog about Nutri System and in her difficulty in getting healthy I decided to be honest about myself. I am much like Eve in that I am well educated in nutrition and exercise. I have read almost everything out there. I too, grew up with a diabetic mom so I learned early on how to eat right. I say all the time how I want to live a long healthy life. That is a lie! I live in denial. I carry my weight in my middle, my father died of a heart attack at 48 (he was not overweight), m… Continue

A List of Ten

My heart is feeling very tender today. I have been thinking a lot about all the blessings that I have been given in this life. I have had more second chances than anyone I know. This small list of gratitudes that is below is just a few of the things (& people) I am grateful for. Jesus- the One who died for me My children - the love and lessons that have come from being a Mother My grandchildren - they have expanded my heart My job - it allows me to take care of myself - and to get outsid… Continue

The "delete comment" is accidental. I accidentally posted it on my site, first and when I copied it to paste, I must have accidentally picked up the "delete comment".

Thanks for the compliment. I know I seem sure of myself sometimes, but trust me, I'm often even more confused by life than the majority!
I appreciate that you understand what I said. I always worry when I comment that it will come off wrong or be offensive. I'm trying to learn for myself to say the things that in the past I might have not said because I worry what people think. I learned that life is short and sometimes you don't get a second chance to say the things you want to say. Delete Comment

All you have to do is tell what you think about the book and then I'll send you a link to add to the post so people can purchase it or even better you can set up an affilitate account with amazon, that way you can use your own link and make money reviewing books. I'll send you more info later about this. I have to run for now. Take care.

You're very welcome. I've found that getting out of myself, reaching out to help someone else, is the best therapy for me. And I simply enjoy other people. I don't get out much, so my friends are all online.

Yes, it was me that recommended David. I have known him since our college days. He is very good at what he does. His voice is soothing also.

Hi Lori! Thanks for thinking of me. I'm glad you enjoy my blogs. I do feel a little better, just still really tired. I think I need to force myself to go get some fiber pills (I ran out) so that I can take my vitamins again. I am going to try and go this week even though I only have one day off. I'm tired. I know part of it is fighting off the crud that everyone around me seems to have, but it's also being off all my routines. I'm hoping things will settle back to normal after this week. Thanks again for thinking of me.
