I think with kids it depends a lot on how we as adults approach foods. I will write some blogs about some of our fun ways to eat when my kids were growing up. One of our rules was is you "couldn't finish" you had to eat as many more bites as you were old. When Sean was four he was hilarious because I would say, "ok, Sean, how many bites?" He would say, "Four! Or, I could be ten!" I would say, "Ok, then...ten bites it is!" He would proudly eat his ten bites which often finished his plate and he never got that he could have eaten only four. He just wanted to be older! haha.
